In this small Indie, short narrative-based game, you take the role of the Grim Reaper… on an office job. Your job is to decide which people are going to live or die. Your choices will affect the world around you. Keep the chaos away or foil plots to destroy the world and rise through the ranks of Reapers all the way up to MIDDLE-MANAGEMENT, wow! Death and Taxes is a game in the vein of narrative-based indie titles, such as “Papers, Please”, “Reigns”, “Beholder” and “Animal Inspector”, to name a few. FREE GOG PC GAMES PRESENTS Death and Taxes (c) Placeholder Gameworks / Pineapple Works Death and Taxes is a Tinder-like narrative-focused puzzle and management game, where the player assumes the role of the Grim Reaper. It is expected to release on February 20, 2020 on PC, Mac and Linux and is developed by Placeholder Gameworks. The game takes place in a fictional “alternate Earth” world, with the player being confined to Fately Towers, an office block led by Fate, the keeper of world order. The game’s events take place during a period of 28 days and every day the player gets faxed a number of profiles of humans in life-threatening situations. These profiles must then be inspected and marked by the player, to either survive their plight or perish. Each day has a different set of rules, set by Fate, which players are urged to follow.
